Italian sounding

Unfortunately, recently Made in Italy has been the victim of many counterfeits by those who, shamefully taking advantage of the prestige of the brand.

They have used it in various products that have nothing to do with Italian, low quality products whose manufacture cost only a few euros per piece (often exploiting innocent children, forced to work for many hours a day) and which are then sold in local markets at prices much lower than those of authentic Made in Italy items.

The fake made in Italy business is worth about 60 billion euros.

Abroad, the demand for Italian products is enormous and constantly growing, but foreigners do not know them well and, therefore, are not always able to distinguish a true Italian product from an Italian Sounding one.

The products most imitated abroad are cheeses and cured meats, but the problem also concerns oil, tomatoes, wine and ready-made dishes.

The most affected by the phenomenon of imitation are mainly DOP and IGP, the Italian excellences most requested by foreign consumers.
